Win, lose, or draw, chess is a fun, challenging game.  This course promotes problem solving skills and good sportsmanship.  Students will learn the rules of chess, strategies and tactics, and chess etiquette. Students will also be allotted time each session to play practice games with their peers.  

Price includes $5 material fee.


First graders should have previous chess experience to join. 


Taught by Steve Moctezuma. Steve is a chess coach and tournament director.  He annually directs the Montclair Cooperative School's/Zuma Summer Chess Camp.
